Addison's music is the like the cure to some disease or ailment you never knew you had. Something about the raspy, heart-felt craft of it all is cleansing like a glass of water or a grape.
While scathing lyrics dance around a feast of guitars and melody, every song has a structure that reminds me of a movie. Not just a scene, but the whole movie. "Boutonniere" is Top Gun to me, written from the point-of-view of Maverick after Goose died. It hurts; but if the enemy comes out to play, you know Maverick ain't going to spin out this time.
These four songs written and sung by Josh Arce make up Addison's first official studio release. Each song delves into a slightly new vocabulary of tones. What Addison will sound like next, I have no idea. But I have a feeling it will be like Top Gun. It'll hurt, and it'll be good.
